The Upside

I'm sure I am not the only one who goes on emotional roller coaster rides. Lately I have been on the upside of one! A couple weeks ago I was feeling down. It doesn't last all day, it just comes once in awhile. The reason is because sometimes I feel like my social life hardly exists. I went from having an active social life to having hardly a social life at all a couple years ago. My family moved, our church also moved(since my dad is the pastor! hehe), and then more friends moved. I grew up going to church every Sunday and actually really enjoyed it, helping out in many ways over the years. Now, we feel somewhat lost about what church to attend. I just loved what I was used to and nothing seems to compare to it. So when those thoughts weigh heavy on my mind, I feel a little bummed out. But then I get encouragement from others and know that I have to be happy in our current situation and not just always look for something to happen in the future.

So like I said, I feel mostly good since a couple weeks ago. There are a couple reasons why that I'd like to share!

#1-I feel like we as a family have been more active lately. Not only in the exercising sense, but in going out and trying to have fun. I stay at home with our son so I don't get tons of adult interaction during the week. I do go to stores and take him out, but you know how it is. I just feel like I have been less bored and lonely lately.

#2- My parents will be visiting this weekend, and then me and Kavi are leaving to go back to Alabama with them on Sunday for a visit! My husband will drive up before fourth of July and then we can all ride home together after the weekend. So I am looking forward to that!!

#3- WE ARE GOING ON A 4 NIGHT CRUISE at the end of September!! Did my CAPS hint my excitement?? :) I have never been on a cruise before. In the past I wasn't sure it sounded like something that appealed to me. But then after hearing some good experiences, and seeing good prices, we knew we wanted to do it. We are even bringing our son! And now also my sister and a close friend are going to come along. It's going to be a very fun time at sea with a stop at Cozumel, Mexico. I know it will be very touristy, but I haven't done much touristy stuff in awhile so I am really really looking forward to it!! We booked the cruise a couple weeks ago, I just hadn't gotten around to talking about it here.

I sold the above pillow on Sunday night, seemed to fit in the the cruise talk.
I had listed it a few months ago and I am so happy it finally sold!

Awww, I'm sorry for all your 'down' time...but yay for feeling up again. You have good reason to.
I know how you feel being stuck inside though the week w/no adult interaction. I stay at home w/my 1 yr old and do daycare. It's rough sometimes. Especially winter!! That was hard!!
I hope you find a church that you really enjoy & are comfortable with. It's hard not having a home church!
Anyway, have a good week!

If you find a church that compares let me know, we'll be there. Congrats on selling the pillow. I saw on facebook that Jenny and Rachel were going on the cruise too. That should be fun! Have fun with your family, see you soon.

I know how you feel! I was once the number one going out girl!! Now, I just go to work and come home. Believe it or not, I don't really know many people at all in my town and I was born and raised here! Its just that they all moved away and I am still here. I wish all of us blogging friends lived close!

Anyway, YAY about the cruise!!! We went to Cozumel a couple of summers ago and it was fantastic!! We skipped the tourist stuff and got a cab to the national park where we spent the whole day on a private beach and went scuba diving! You will love it! Which ship are you going on?

Angela, awesome that you went to Cozumel! And we are planning to go to a national park too, Chankanaab?! :) Is that the same one?
We are leaving from Tampa, going on Carnival (ship named Inspiration).
