Our Easter

On Saturday evening we dyed Easter eggs. This was the first year I did it with Kavi. Last year we were in India during Easter so there wasn't much ado about it and he was only two.
He had fun dying them this year, with a lot of mommy's help. ;) I only took pictures with my cell phone, both Saturday and Sunday. Oops. On Easter Sunday, we had some friends and relatives over. I always end up cleaning like a mad woman the night before and morning of an event like that. I wish I could be the kind of person who always had a clean house! Do those people actually exist? Maybe those who don't have children? Something funny a friend of mine posted on facebook, make sure you read to the end!
A REAL woman always keeps her house clean and organized, the laundry basket is always empty. She's always well dressed, hair done. She never swears and she behaves gracefully in all situations and under all circumstances. She has more than enough patience to take care of her family, always has a smile on her lips, and a kind word for everyone. Post this in your status if you too suspect that you might be a man...

That make me chuckle! Although, my husband is a tidy person! I am not very organized myself. He is rarely the one who makes a mess. Of course messes are mostly the territory of Kavi.

So in the afternoon we had people over. About twelve people here total. Of course we missed my parents and sister and friends who couldn't be here with us.

We sort of did it potluck style. We weren't fancy and people had to sit around the house as our round table only could fit maximum 6 people. But no one minded, we are all pretty laid back about that stuff.

I put eggs in the backyard after eating. There was no candy in them for two reasons: I was afraid they would melt here in Florida, and because we have ants everywhere in Florida and they would find that candy fast. Oh and also because I had candy set out for everyone inside and Kavi already had toooooo much. Everyone who came brought him something! So I put temp tattoos in there, that Kavi didn't care about hah.

He had fun finding the eggs though, with the help of my cousin's daughter who is ten years old. And since the Easter baskets in the house were already holding candy or toys, I had him use his Thomas backpack to put his eggs in. And he insisted on his (2nd)cousin to wear his other backpack (Disney's Cars).
He still has two chocolate bunnies left and some other small candy from Easter. He ate a big chocolate egg yesterday that had candy inside of it too!
