Busyness needed

I'm still on my weight loss journey, something going on for awhile! Due to ups and downs and holidays. I have accomplished things like the 30 Day Shred and felt good. Well I'm thankfully on my way down the scale again.

I had mentioned that at the end of the Shred I lost a few pounds and inches. I had a hard time accepting that muscle weighs more than fat which can make the scale part confusing. Sometimes we reach those plateaus when your body doesn't want to budge from a certain weight. That happened to me for awhile and it was frustrating because it would discourage me from even trying harder. While that doesn't make sense, it's just a weird mind game.

But I feel encouraged yet again! Due to running around doing things like planning my cousins shower and other recent activity, my body decided to cooperate and lose more weight, even though I wasn't trying really hard. It was just the busyness of life which had me moving more and overeating less. Those are the obvious steps for losing weight, I know. Looks like I need to be an event planner! I have a feeling I'd lose a lot of weight with that kind of busy job. :p

30 Day Shred: Days 25-30 and Result

Lola

  1. 25. Day of rest
  2. 26. Went back to level 2, certain things were easier now. But still a challenge, of course!
  3. 27. Back to level 3, and I’m improving.
  4. 28. Felt so tired today but we did the exercise, level 3, and I am happy we did. TWO DAYS LEFT!
  5. 29. One day left! Feeling good.
  6. 30. Last day of the “30 days”..I feel so much stronger than the first day!
So I did exercise 6 days a week, and went up a level about every 9-10 days. There are still quite a few moves I can hardly do. I think I need to lose more weight before I can do it all, but I have definitely built muscle and endurance! This really will change how you feel in a month!

Even though the 30 days ended last Friday, I will keep doing this workout, alternating which level we do, maybe 3-4 times a week. The other days I will use the exercise bike.

I lost about 4 lbs during the month. Some days I carefully counted calories and other days I didn't.

I measured myself in various areas so that I could share those results too.

Amount of inches lost from each measured area:

Waist -1 inch
Hips -1 inch
What I call the "bulge" above waist - 1/2 inch
Left upper arm - 1/2 inch
Right upper arm - 3/4 inch
Right and Left upper thigh - 1/2 inch off each
Right and Left lower thigh -1 inch off each
Right lower arm -3/4 inch
Left lower arm - 1/2 inch

I am very happy to see results! I actually noticed the inch gone off of my waist after about 3 weeks! Of course, I made the mistake of googling other people's results and some people lost 2-3 inches from their waist and elsewhere. But I need to not think about that. I am bloated right now(the monthly thing) so I am wondering if things will change at the end of this week with more pounds shown lost.

If anyone wants to catch up on what I wrote about days 1-30, you can click the Losing Weight link on the left, under "Common Topics". :)

I would suggest this DVD to anyone looking to tone up muscle and lose inches! My stomach muscles feel incredibly different than when I started. My husband, who is much thinner than I am, did most of the shred with me. He just missed the first week. You can tell how his stomach muscles have shaped up from only 3 or so weeks of it! Since he doesn't have much stomach fat blocking the muscles, it's more visible. But I know that my stomach muscles(underneath everything lol) have taken a similar shape even though I can't really see it!

It also built a lot of muscle in my thighs and you can see it especially in the lower thighs. I am stronger for things like squats, jumping jacks and lunges.

We did the shred, level 2, last night just to keep it up like I plan to! One last thing...if you try this out and feel discouraged that you can't do all the movements, just keep going! Just attempting it will make you sweat and burn calories. You can always do the modified versions shown, and sometimes when I needed an even more modified version, I made it up.

I hope you're all having a nice week!!

1. "The only way of catching a train I ever discovered is to miss the train before" G.K. Chesterton, 2. EthnicEsthetic, Latest Look: Anarkali Blues, 3. Hugo's room: DIY Upholstered kids chair, 4. guestroom

Mmmm nice blues!!

I forgot to put in my post yesterday (about the 30 day shred) the link to see what I wrote about the other days. To see all the days so far, click this link and scroll down: Losing Weight. All 30 Day Shred posts will be labeled "Losing Weight", which is also a link on the left side of my blog under "Common topics".

I will again say it's hard! But I already see some inches gone, so this really does work!! Even if you can't do all the moves! :) I'm almost done with it. This Friday will be day 30. After that, I will still need to keep exercising but I think I will start alternating the exercise bike on some days with a workout like the shred on the other days.

30 Day Shred: Days 18-24

  1. Phew! This is still hard. ;) If you do this, I wouldn’t expect to do all of the moves unless you were fit to begin with.
  2. Husband doing it with me the past couple nights, oh and Kavi too! He is not happy if we do it when he goes to bed, so we have to do it before that! 11 days left!!!
  3. We went back down to Level 1 today to see how it would feel. I felt stronger in some parts but it was definitely a challenge still! While some moves are less intense than level 2, I find the cardio harder than Level 2 for some reason.
  4. Level 3 started! More challenging in some ways yet easier feeling than level 2 in ways. Hard to explain.
  5. Level 3 again, some moves are just still so hard for me! 8 days left...I can do it...
  6. I don’t like you, level 3.
  7. Argh! I am so happy to be near the end because level 3 is hard with those plank moves. I really cannot do most of them, but it’s the trying that counts, right?

30 Day Shred: Days 12-17

imusttrain!

I passed the halfway mark last week! I don't actually have anything I am training for, but I am training my body, so I used the hamster photo!! I feel like him. You can do it, chubby little hamster!!

Day:

12. Felt tired out after the exercise, but I didn’t do some of the last few minutes and went to cool down instead, because my favorite TV show was coming on and I don’t have a dvr, haha!

13. Really worked hard during level 2 tonight. I was able to do a plank move better than a couple days ago, but still - so hard! Can’t do all the moves.

14. I feel good! I still cannot do certain things - plank moves getting better for me but it will take awhile for me to do all those plank moves.

15. Two weeks since I started the shred! Plank moves improve day by day, I can’t believe one day can make such a difference! My stomach, while still flabby, feels tighter inside.

16. Rested today, had a horrible night of sleep the night before. Exhausted!

17. Continued with level 2 tonight. Even though it’s tiring, I always feel good at the end of the workout. It feels like an accomplishment.

And, I have lost a couple pounds since starting!

Almost time to start level 3, eeks! Even though I find it all exhausting, the thing I really like about the 30 Day Shred is the variety of movements.

30 day Shred - Days 6-11

  1. A little more stamina today. Recovery time after exercise is much faster! I cannot do push ups.
  2. The first set of jumping jacks are still a killer. I think I need to warm up even more before putting on the dvd, she does a very short warm up. My husband joined in with me tonight. He has been jogging lately and still finds this dvd very challenging.
  3. Still pushing through! I think I can...I think I can...
  4. I have more stamina for the “butt kicks” now. I was really tired feeling today but I did the work out anyway. After I was done, I peeked at level 2 and 3. Scary!
  5. I decided to be crazy and started level 2 tonight! I feel like a cooked, floppy noodle in my arms and upper legs. It’s very tough!! The plank moves, which are holding yourself up on your arms in a push up looking move, are so hard that I can’t do all those moves consecutively. It’s pretty bad when the people on the video, including Jillian, look really tired out at the end. Those people, who don’t seem to have any flab jiggling around during the moves, with extremely toned muscles, versus me who has much too much flab. I sure have a lot more weight to lift off the ground than them! But- at least I don’t feel pukey. :)
  6. Day of rest mostly, did a tiny bit of strength training moves. I thought I would be more sore today.
I will be doing level 2 again tomorrow! If you missed what I wrote about days 1-5, you can read here.

30 Day Shred - I'm doing it.

My exercise news is that I started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred last Thursday night, Jan 6th! I had read about it several times but didn't have the guts to try it out until just after the New Year. Since I know I am going to India again, in maybe just 5 weeks time from now, I figured what better time than now to start it? A 30 day(or so) program that's supposed to make my muscles more toned, and hopefully help me lose more weight. Yeah, I got some of that holiday weight on me.

Well, the shred workout is really hard. I knew it would be! I want to say that I don't think I will be able to do 30 consecutive days in a row of this. Whether you are even supposed to is unclear. I googled it! Jillian was quoted as saying you need 2 days of rest a week when exercising, yet this 30 day shred seems like it's supposed to be 30 days with no break.

Let me just say, I had to take a break already. I used my once a month womanly card to sit out on Sunday. I don't want to take another day off, but if I do, it's ok. I am not competing, I am not expecting to become skinny in 30 days. I am just testing this out and it's a good workout. And I think it's already working! On my legs at least. They were the most sore and now they are hardly sore at all. I read horror stories about how sore people were the day after doing the 30 Day Shred for the first time. It wasn't as bad as I expected - BUT I was not able to do every single jump. I guess if I did every...single...jumpy move, it would have been worse. I did maybe 85% of the movements, I couldn't do 100%.

I took my measurements so that if I didn't see the scale moving, I could see those results instead. I will let you know how it turns out. I like that this is a 30 day thing, not too long right? I can do it...I can suffer these 30 days!

I started a little journal document with how I feel each day after doing it. Short entries to remind myself of the process, and I will share them here until it's over! Numbers represent the day.

30 Day Shred, Day:

  1. I couldn’t keep up with every movement. So tiring!!! Felt like puking afterward(literally), but I didn’t. This is hard...Next morning, I am sore but not as bad as I thought it’d be.
  2. Still can’t do every movement. Felt less pukey afterward. Still very hard.
  3. Less exhausted after today, but I can’t do every jump and such. Still sore. (days 1-3 done in evening)
  4. Woke up less sore, much less sore than the night before. I took a day of rest today.
  5. Did it a little while after lunch today. I had more stamina for the cardio, but I can’t do all the jumping movements continuously, still. All that matters is that I am moving at least.
So I am trying to shift to doing it before showering each day instead of in the evening. And this has to be the year that I get rid of the weight I have wanted off for the past almost 2 years! I lost weight after Kavi was born, for about a year. I got down to a nice point, still overweight but better than before, but I gained a little of it back and didn't reach my final goals. I want to!

Exercise bike, take 2

Over a week ago I mentioned us getting a new exercise bike. Well, within 2 days we were unhappy with it. The seat was really hard, the easiest tension setting felt too hard, it started making a squeaking noise, and something was weird with the frame. We were disappointed after being excited about this new bike, and we decided to return it.

We finally had a chance to go to Sears on Wednesday night and sit on bikes that were on display. We found one that we both really liked but it was more $ than the one we returned. But it had a very cushy seat, nice tension settings, a heart rate reader, plus pre-programmed workout settings. We went home to ponder.

We decided by Thursday that we wanted to buy it! So my husband went and got it and brought it home, we set it up, and tested it out. And we love it! I think the increase in price(about $90 more) was well worth all the pluses of this bike. I look forward to using it and not having a sore bum afterward. :P

It looks like this:

Couch to 5K progress

So it's week 4 for me doing the Couch to 5K program. This week is tough so far and is pushing me, which I know I need. (This is technically my 5th week, because I repeated week 2). It's a 9 week program. I am almost half way done! Wow. I still can't believe I'm doing this. I am not athletic and do not enjoy jogging. I just wanted this challenge and I wanted to see if I can do it. I want to see how it might change my body and lung capacity.

We also received our new exercise bike yesterday! I already used it. Definitely harder than the last bike that had the broken tension belt (it was always easy to pedal!). It looks like this:

By the way, I have a giveaway going on at Oh, My Darling! If you'd like a chance to win this set of earrings and necklace, visit her blog to enter!

Nothing else break!

I am having laptop problems! It started Friday. I am on our PC right now, but I already miss the convenience of the laptop. I know I can live without it for now, but I hope not for really long. So far it doesn't seem fixable. It's a possible internal injury, due to being slid off the couch by my son a couple times. First, I had problems with the cooling fan inside the laptop after it fell over once. Now it's just worse! Freezing up and turning off suddenly. It's hard keeping certain breakable electronics out of a little one's hands no matter how hard you try sometimes! Eeks. My husband is an IT guy and knows a whole lot about computers, and if he can't seem to keep it working, I feel like there is no hope for it!

I am still doing the Couch to 5K plan!! Well, I am redoing week two. I missed one day of doing the plan last week (due to womanly issues), so I felt I needed to do week two again. Each week you add time to the amount of jogging you do. It's not easy! For a reminder of what the plan is all about, read here and scroll down to the plan they have at that page:
The Couch-to-5K

Another broken thing in the house is my exercise bike. That's not good. The pedal was breaking off, then my husband kind of repaired it and it lasted for months. Yesterday it broke just as I was starting to pedal it. Most of the other added parts to the bike broke awhile ago. No tension belt, no digital time/distance/calorie counter. At least I could move the pedals, until now!

Why not just go out and buy a new laptop or exercise bike you might wonder? Well, it's not so easy for me and my husband to just make purchases like that. Even if I might be more inclined to really really want to do that, my husband is a saver and researches a lot before spending money on anything that's not a usual purchase. We will see what happens. I already looked at craigslist.org for a new one. I got my current one on there for $10 or $15, years ago. hehe. I'm a bargain shopper!! Paying full price for expensive things makes my stomach feel weird.

C25K, Me!

I had a busy earlier part of the day. We went out to a fun play center for kids and Kavi had fun. We met up with two of my friends and their baby girls. It was the first time we went to this place. It's about 20 minutes away so not too close, but I may go once in awhile.

But what I really wanted to mention is that I started the Couch-to-5K plan a week ago! I finished week one and then started week two yesterday. This is part of my goal for getting healthier. At one time I wasn't sure if I should attempt this because I have arthritis on the side part of my ankles and I wasn't sure if they would hurt. So far, they don't. So I am going to keep going to see what happens. It really does start you out nice and slow. I had already been attempting some jogging, so I handled week one fine. Week 2 is a little harder and definitely more tiring. So far, these are 20-25min sessions. Not too long!

The funny thing about this is that I jog/walk around inside my house. It is way too hot to do this outside and I am not even going to try that. I have enough room going back and forth between certain areas of the house to do the full amount of time needed, in the a/c. Even in the a/c, lots of sweating occurs by the time I'm done!!

I still wonder if I will actually finish this whole program. It's a 9 week program, but if you need to repeat a week because the next one still seemed too hard, you can. Each week gets harder until you are finally able to jog 5K, which is 3.1 miles. Wish me luck!

Sunday random thoughts

I want to make a new header for my blog but I don't know what to do. If anyone has any ideas for me or inspiration, let me know! Hmm. I'd like to keep the general feel. Something whimsical, vintage/retro, coffee related, or kitchsy, I am not sure! Maybe I will have to think about it today. Of course I want it to represent me and the blog. I am probably making it more difficult than it needs to be.

On Etsy yesterday I sold three pairs of earrings which is really amazing since I hadn't sold anything in that shop for 2 weeks again. Yay! But what's funny is, the other shop(pillow stuff) that I bought a Storque showcase for, didn't sell anything. I did get decent views on my pillow cover in the first Storque showcase spot, and hearts throughout the shop. I hope at least one turns into a sale! I haven't been motivated to sew for a few weeks now, it's not good. I have fabric sitting around and ideas but no motivation to sit down and make them right now. I had been working more on the jewelry lately.

I plan to exercise today which would make 6 days this week exercised instead of just 5! The only day I skipped was Thursday. I have also been trying to do something unthinkable for me - jog. I don't plan on really becoming a jogger or runner. I have ankle issues and could probably only do a little at a time. So that's what I have been attempting. For instance, Friday night I jogged a total of 11 minutes. That was my 2nd time attempting to actually jog. The first time, I jogged only 6 and a half minutes. But to be honest, I wasn't even sure I could do that much! So by the second attempt, inside in a/c I was able to go 5 minutes before my first walking break. Anyway, that is a big deal to me!
Have a happy Sunday!

Hello Tuesday

So I exercised 5 times last week again! Knowing that I am going to talk about it here keeps me motivated to do it 5 times. ;) I think it's making some difference. But, going on the scale the past few days hasn't been a good idea! You know that time of the month...I always gain water weight. I was trying to find out the average amount gained by searching online. I didn't find a real scientific page but read many opinions and stats from women and it looks like it's common for a 2-5lb water weight gain. I think mine is usually 4-5 lbs, and it alters the scale thing so much! I have to remember not to worry about it at that time. And today, I am already a couple pounds down from yesterday. It's all that water weight leaving now. I don't know how much I really weigh yet. I need to wait a couple more days.

I don't do intense exercise. I do about 20 minutes on the exercise bike. But even that helps. I have been trying to push myself to do it longer on some days. I just need a softer cushion on that bike!! We are thinking of buying a new exercise bike. Mine is so old and broken-ish. I mentioned it before here, that I got it from someone through craigslist for like $10!

I'd also like to bring up some bargain purchases lately. I don't visit the store Ross very often. During the week, me and Kavi visit other stores like Target where I can do a couple different things in one store. Coffee, clothes, housewares, plus some groceries if needed. The idea of bringing my son alone with me to Ross where I might try on a bunch of clothes is a tiring idea.

Last Saturday we went out for lunch and then went to Ross which was nearby. My husband was there to entertain our son while I tried on lots of clothes. ;) I ended up getting a pretty purple dress for 14.99 and a pretty red ruffly shirt from the clearance section for 5.49!! I never buy dresses, but I thought it was so pretty and in a hard to find bigger size. I couldn't resist! It's the kind of dress I see in stores, try on, and it usually doesn't fit. But this one was my size AND cute!

Speaking of good deals, one of my fashion submissons was used at Lillyella today. A full outfit for under $100, which includes a handmade dress and clutch:
You can click above to visit the blog.
Finding a handmade item of clothing on Etsy for part of an outfit that is under $100 is not always easy! I really do like the handmade clothing idea. I wish I could really buy just that. But it's not in my budget to have a handmade only wardrobe. So when you see something that could be in your budget, it's great!

What day is today?

Wow June is here already! That is weird. And my days feel so off since Monday was a holiday and my husband didn't have to work. So I kept thinking yesterday was Monday! And is today Tuesday? No, no, it's Wednesday.

I did exercise 5 out of 7 days last week. Yes! I plan to do the same this week. I need to keep this up. I want to see results!

Here are some earrings I had added to Coffee and Cream recently. I also made a new shop banner which is in between the four photos. You can visit the shop here to see the bigger version.

I made a few new necklaces over the weekend that I need to take pictures of and list. Oops, I just realize the "C" at the beginning of the banner got cut off. Here it is, in full:

Back on track

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned my goal for losing weight this year before I turn 30 years old. It's not an unattainable, outrageous goal. I would just need to lose about 6 lbs a month to reach it now, because my birthday is exactly 5 months from today! I got out of the exercise routine because of going to India, coming home exhausted, and then being busy for a couple weeks after that. I had actually lost a little more weight while in India because the meals are just healthier in general. But once back here, it balanced back out(or up perhaps? hehe).

I finally added more exercise to my life again last week and have done it this week so far as well. I plan to do it at least 5 days a week. That is what really helped me in the past.
Two days down this week. Three to go! I go on my exercise bike and sometimes do a couple other things after that like random jumping jacks and squats. I also wrote down what I ate the past two days and the calories if they were available.

Last night I wasn't sure if I was going to exercise. I didn't feel like it and felt like my night was too busy already. We watched the movie Avatar finally!! We kept having to pause it though, then put our son to bed, then he woke up later on, and it was just a big thing with trying to get him to sleep again. Then I also wanted to watch American Idol and see the last hour of The Biggest Loser. I tell ya it's too many things to watch at once, and I don't have DVR!! I decided while watching The Biggest Loser that I needed to exercise afterall, so I did while watching some of it. I just couldn't hear it well because my exdercise bike is loud and old and could die at any time. I had gotten it off of Craigslist a few years ago for like $10. Anyway, we finally finished watching Avatar around 10:30pm(we had started it at around 5:20pm!!!). And I felt happy that I exercised too. I liked the movie a lot by the way! I wish I could have seen it in a theater and in 3D.

Oh check out this vintage ad!! I love it! hahaha

Yeah, that's right!

Vintage Thursday: Paper goods, odds and ends

Vintage "Ex Libris" Ship bookplates. I think they are awesome! $12 from twoartdirectors

The other items below are vintage buttons, ephemera(I didn't know that that meant until last year), and photographs. I also really like the old booklet with the hot air balloons on it.

Goals

The beginning of this year was filled with a lot of looking ahead to our trip to India and planning for that. Now that the trip is over and we've been back home 3 weeks, I want to start focusing on other things for this year now. I have some goals and "to do's" I'd like to accomplish.

One is to redecorate portions of our house. Nothing big, mostly paint color changes and shifting around existing decor. We've owned our house for four years now and the living room has been the same paint color since we first painted it (right before moving in). I am ready for change in the living room and other areas that have been the same since then. I love coming across decor inspiration on flickr. I have many ideas saved as flickr favorites. I made a gallery of some of the decor in my favorites list. You can see it here.
1. flickrsource, 2. flickrsource

Another continuing goal is weight loss and getting healthier. I realized I never updated the blog about my weight loss attempt before going to India. I did lose much of the holiday weight I gained, before we left. :) When we were in India, a few people told me I look like I lost weight since last year. And well, in most cases in India, calling someone fat is not considered such an insult. So I was always paranoid about that wondering if someone was going to call me fat in their teasing way, and for them to say I lost weight instead was such a relief! And from the trip they saw me on last, I only weighed a couple pounds less this time, but my body may have changed shape enough to look different. I don't really know!

But now I need to focus better again. I don't diet or deprive myself of everything I like while I try to lose weight. I eat less crappy food(but still end up having some sometimes!) and add in exercise and that seems to be what I need to do. I have to add exercise back in again since coming back from India. I have a goal to lose a certain amount of weight by the time I turn 30 this year at the end of October. It's almost 6 months from now and I'd like to lose 30lbs. That doesn't seem like it'd be too hard, but it will be if I don't stay focused on it. I know I can do it, if I do what I had been doing already.
1. New Year's Healthy Eating(flickrsource)

On another topic, I had shared pictures of my "crafty corner" months ago when it was nice and tidy. Well it got messy over time, of course, so last weekend I made it tidy again! My mom took pictures while my parents were visiting last week. She posted several on her blog and they look cute over there. Take a visit! I will share my own pictures in the future too. I still needed to nicely fold my fabrics that are inside the white shelf when she took pictures. So now that part is done too. Click below to view her blog post.

Update on losing weight

I have stuck with it decently over the past couple weeks. I am down a few pounds from when I started about 3 weeks ago! I could try harder though. I ate very badly last Friday!! Then had some extra sweets over the weekend. I am not anti-sweets but I just need to make better decision about how much of a sweet thing I eat.

Isn't this such a simple sounding concept?:
Eat healthier + move more= lose weight.
(unless there is a medical or other reason you cannot lose weight that way, but I mean in general) Yet it's so hard to accomplish, right? hehe I am on the right road now and need to stay on it.

I think looking at the really cute outfits on flickr, like I posted yesterday, help me with the inspiration to lose weight.

And I couldn't resist adding another weight loss "cartoon":

Time to lose it

I talked not long ago about starting to try to lose weight again. So here's an update. I am doing ok. I have been eating better and started exercising! I could be doing better. I still add in extra bites of things that I don't need! But, I feel motivated, and am happy about it. My goal is to exercise at least 5 times a week. Right now it's mostly on the stationary bike that I have. It's an old one. I bought it through Craigslist a few years ago - for $15 or was it $10? It's kinda crappy. But it worked for me last time I was trying to lose weight! I can't even tighten the tension on the bike, the tension thing is broken. hah.

It had a cool digital thing to track mph, distance, time on bike, and estimated calories burned. It had that until Kavi yanked the digital box open. I think a wire got disconnected somewhere. It turns on, but doesn't track any info. And as for calories burned, there was no way to enter your weight so I always wondered where it came up with it's figures. Anyway, I still use it even though it also hurts my butt to sit on it after 15-20 minutes. Hard seat!

I am also going to add in some muscle toning exercise and will reduce my calories a little more. I don't go for fad diets or extremes when losing weight. I like slow and steady, nothing very drastic. I will basically use the methods I used before, just a little more wholeheartedly this time.

I will update from time to time about this. It's a way to be accountable, knowing that other people read that I said I was trying again- so I better do it!!

Action packed weekend and packed on LBS!!!

We had such a busy weekend that I am still feeling tired out. My family arrived Thursday night. On Friday night we went to a memorial service for our dear friend who passed away. It was actually a wonderful service and we saw hundreds of old faces, like a reunion.

Saturday was spent with the family and preparing a little for my son's birthday party the next day. Sunday was spent partying for Kavi, who is turning 2 on February 1st! We had a bunch of people over during the day. The weather was really nice for the kids to play outside in the back yard. It was very fun but also tiring. My parents left Monday and I spent the day not doing much of anything but sitting around.

On another topic, I'd like to start losing weight again. I don't like to get too detailed about this stuff on here since it's public so I will just share general info. Others have been writing about it as well, which only adds to my inspiration.

Where I am right now weightwise is better than I was before I had a baby and better than when I got married. I should feel good about that and I do, but, I am stuck again!!

Ok let's see if you can follow this ramble: I got married, gained a little weight(was already overweight), thought about having a baby, decided to lose some weight. Lost only about 13 lbs, got pregnant. :) After my son arrived I knew I was going to get back on the weight loss train and I did- losing the extra pregnancy weight plus another 20lbs down. So that was great! It took about a year but so what. Then I stalled and stalled since last May 09 and I am now up about 10 Lbs from the holidays. ARGHHH. So now I need to get rid of those extra 10 Lbs, and then get back on the rest of the journey.

The way I lost weight that worked for me - stationary bike (in my house) 5 times a week and loosely counting calories. And if I can do that, I know I can lose more weight. It's just a matter of doing it.
This is a funny vintage mug my sister has, it was purchased from Etsy!
