Time for some coffee!!

...or tea, if you must! :)

I can't believe that I still get such a nice feeling every morning when I go to make my coffee. It's that comforting feeling. And the smell, mmmm!! When I was pregnant, I lost my desire for coffee most of the time. I drank tea a lot. Then I reverted back to coffee being my #1 choice. I still love tea, especially Twining's Decaf English Breakfast Tea at night. But still nothing compares to brewing coffee in the morning!

Hello Tuesday

So I exercised 5 times last week again! Knowing that I am going to talk about it here keeps me motivated to do it 5 times. ;) I think it's making some difference. But, going on the scale the past few days hasn't been a good idea! You know that time of the month...I always gain water weight. I was trying to find out the average amount gained by searching online. I didn't find a real scientific page but read many opinions and stats from women and it looks like it's common for a 2-5lb water weight gain. I think mine is usually 4-5 lbs, and it alters the scale thing so much! I have to remember not to worry about it at that time. And today, I am already a couple pounds down from yesterday. It's all that water weight leaving now. I don't know how much I really weigh yet. I need to wait a couple more days.

I don't do intense exercise. I do about 20 minutes on the exercise bike. But even that helps. I have been trying to push myself to do it longer on some days. I just need a softer cushion on that bike!! We are thinking of buying a new exercise bike. Mine is so old and broken-ish. I mentioned it before here, that I got it from someone through craigslist for like $10!

I'd also like to bring up some bargain purchases lately. I don't visit the store Ross very often. During the week, me and Kavi visit other stores like Target where I can do a couple different things in one store. Coffee, clothes, housewares, plus some groceries if needed. The idea of bringing my son alone with me to Ross where I might try on a bunch of clothes is a tiring idea.

Last Saturday we went out for lunch and then went to Ross which was nearby. My husband was there to entertain our son while I tried on lots of clothes. ;) I ended up getting a pretty purple dress for 14.99 and a pretty red ruffly shirt from the clearance section for 5.49!! I never buy dresses, but I thought it was so pretty and in a hard to find bigger size. I couldn't resist! It's the kind of dress I see in stores, try on, and it usually doesn't fit. But this one was my size AND cute!

Speaking of good deals, one of my fashion submissons was used at Lillyella today. A full outfit for under $100, which includes a handmade dress and clutch:
You can click above to visit the blog.
Finding a handmade item of clothing on Etsy for part of an outfit that is under $100 is not always easy! I really do like the handmade clothing idea. I wish I could really buy just that. But it's not in my budget to have a handmade only wardrobe. So when you see something that could be in your budget, it's great!

Fashion Inspiration: Blouses with jeans or a skirt

Just a lot of inspiration today. I know not everyone in the world has the same tastes, but these are the kind of things that inspire me fashion-wise. Pretty shirts can go with both skirts or jeans. Depending on what you need to wear them to, you pair a shirt with a simple yet nice skirt for a work environment or with jeans for a casual every day look.

Here are two polyvore sets. The first made by someone else who put together a nice ensemble. In the second one, I just put several items together, not in a real set but just to show shirts that can go with a skirt like the one shown:

Pretty shirts from Etsy. $44 and under:

Pair them with jeans or the skirt(also in the polyvore set):

Jeans are from Target.com(on sale!), Skirt is from modcloth.com

Some treasuries I'm in

I thought I would share a few treasuries I am in from Treasury East. I was in one for a couple weeks now. But then recently I was put into two others!

The first one was called IDEA (think IKEA). Clever treasury. My pillow cover in white, pink, and orange is in it.
One of the newer treasuries is called Blush and Rust, and it's really gorgeous! It was made by one of my online friends. My necklace is in it.

The last one was made today, and I got a message from the curator about being in it. It's called I love Linen. It's very pretty! My wall hoop is in the top left corner.

You can click the pictures above to visit their pages in the treasury.

Flashback Friday: Baby me

I don't think I have yet shared a baby picture of myself yet for a Flashback. I had to take a picture of a picture again, still no scanner. :P This would be probably when I was a couple months old or something? I forgot to ask my mom. Isn't it so 80's looking? I was born in October 1980, so it would be not long after that.

My mom said they had a photographer come to the house, something more common then, or at least where they lived. I should have asked her more before writing about it like I actually know haha. Maybe she can answer in a comment. Right, mom?

As you can see, even as babies me and my sister did not have blond hair. We have been brown eyed and brown haired since birth. I am pretty sure our hair got darker as we got older though. Right now my hair is it's natural color. I haven't dyed it in over a year. And that was when I dyed it black before going to India Spring 2009. I already find grey hair these days. Actually I have found stray greys for years now. It's not obvious, but I find more than I'd like to!! And what do I do? Take them out, of course. heehee.

Oh oh oh! I also wanted to write on another topic. I plan to have some giveaways here soon! I haven't done one in a long time, and I have some things in mind. I am pretty sure I am going to do a jewelry giveaway very soon. And then after that, a sewn item giveaway(I haven't done one of those yet!).

Vintage Thursday: Yellow!

I think some people might need some sunshine! I have been reading about stormy weather. I also like stormy weather - as long as I don't have to be out traveling in it and of course not if it's really severe weather.

Here is some bright Florida sunshine, and vintage items of one of my favorite colors: yellow. You can click each item to see it's listing on Etsy.

What day is today?

Wow June is here already! That is weird. And my days feel so off since Monday was a holiday and my husband didn't have to work. So I kept thinking yesterday was Monday! And is today Tuesday? No, no, it's Wednesday.

I did exercise 5 out of 7 days last week. Yes! I plan to do the same this week. I need to keep this up. I want to see results!

Here are some earrings I had added to Coffee and Cream recently. I also made a new shop banner which is in between the four photos. You can visit the shop here to see the bigger version.

I made a few new necklaces over the weekend that I need to take pictures of and list. Oops, I just realize the "C" at the beginning of the banner got cut off. Here it is, in full:
